Alright everyone. I've gone through the comments of my last journal and listened to everything!
I'll now compile a bit of a list so people know if I liked what they recommended or not. The stuff at the top is stuff I've liked and plan on keeping and/or checking out more. After that, I've written a couple of things to certain deviants since they only left artists rather than tracks.
And just because the tracks aren't listed, doesn't mean I didn't like it. It either means I've already heard it or it's not something I can see having in my playlist for future listening.
The list doesn't seem too good really. Quite short but not a lot of people left recommendations as I didn't expect. Those that said they'd get back to me, I'm waiting
And by looking at the list, you may actually notice a pattern with a few of them.
Tracks I've Liked:
*LakesideMaiden - Some of the Rush stuff was alright! Energetic. I quite liked Drain STH and will check out more.
*obsidiantears83 - Checked it all out. I didn't mind some Lacuna Coil and Opeth. The other stuff I couldn't get into though.
It was fun and I enjoyed going around listening to some different music for a change.
Now it's my turn. I said that in return I would list some music for people to check out. Don't be scared. Music exploration is FUN! I know you all know I listen to trance etc but I do listen to other stuff as well!
But don't be surprised to see some trance or something thrown into the mix. I'll link to YouTube videos or Last.fm where I can, some not the full tracks though
Genres listed are of the artist/band or album not the track itself.
Alright, alright. That's enough. This journal will be too long otherwise. They're all favs of mine at the moment, but I have plenty more. I just can't list them all.

Tracks I've Liked:
- Within Temptation - Pale
- Tool - Vicarious
- Cinephile - What Becomes of Us
- Sia - Breathe Me
- Leonard Cohen - Hey, That's No Way to Say Goodbye
- Metallica - Orion
- Dream Theatre - In the Presence of Enemies (Part 1)

- Arkarna - The Future's Overrated (Electronica/rock 1997 - Bit old now but still good fun!)
- Shivaree - New Casablanca or Mexican Boyfriend (Hard to define a genre, but various styles of rock with a bit of everything else thrown in - both from the 2005 album Who's Got Trouble - these are the more mellow ones, but anything by Shivaree is awesome)
- Veruca Salt - Wake Up Dead (Alt rock - 2006 - absolutely hauntingly beautiful song)
- Feist - Secret Heart (Alt folk/indie - 2003 - Just a fun one. I get into this one quite a lot)
- Nicole Atkins - Neptune City (Alt/Folk rock - 2007 - Lovely. Everything on the Neptune City album is great and I just picked the track because I could find it on the 'tube)
- Reflekt feat. Delline Bass - Need to Feel Loved (Thrillseekers Remix) (Prog trance - 2005 - One of my absolute favs.)
- Armin van Buuren feat. Sharon den Adel - In and Out of Love (Trance, prog trance, breaks - 2008 - Damn I love the vocals of this. This is where female "metal vocals" and electronica meet to make magic to my ears)
- Amethystium (Ambient/New Age - For the folks that like their stuff instrumental. No track in particular, it's all good, though ones that stand out in my mind are Tinuviel, Withdrawal, Berceuse...
) - PJ Wassermann - San an Sunset (Electronic/Ambient - 2004 - Another instrumental... gorgeous)

No, I'm not allergic to fish, but a slight (quite a lot) amount of mental conditioning, caused by myself over the years, has caused me to want to be sick every time i put fish anywhere near my mouth.
I got it in my head when i was a kid that i hated fish... and it stuck. Not to say i haven't tried since... I tried to eat some swordfish not so long ago... but that didn't turn out well
So i think I'll still to have a couple of beers instead at the bbq.
