Comments: First of all, this is NOT the final version. The final version has different fonts, logo and some things moved around (at the request of =EpharGy). I wanted to submit my concept first, and prefer it without the changes made.
It's a redesign of his current site (which I designed too, and don't like. I think it was quite a poor design, though I have obviously improved over the last 6 months).
His blog (website) is powered by WordPress. I stuck with a similar structure as what is currently there (sidebar on the right, content to the left), and the same colours (blues and greys).
Anyway, it's a major improvement over the current design. Once I have coded up the final design, I will post again, as it does look different.
This is personally one of my favourites of yours and such a great redesign when you compare it to the original you did, which was decent at the time, although it doesn't have a pacth on the redesign.
The layout looks great, easy to navigate and not too cluttered but neither too simple. The search area looks hot as does the badge and navigation - nice touch. The rays at the top are very fitting since they have that whole DJ vibe to them - perfect for the type of site it is really.
All in all, it's really nicely done, smooth and in keeping with the trendy web 2.0 design. Awesome!

I can't see any problems, I was going to suggest giving it some sort of shadow to make it lift off the page (also making the search box look like it's on the background, and the content area has been cut out a little to get to it) but that's a random extra
Nyssa, your web designs are hawt. I mean hawt. I love how your different designs are original, but there is a distinct style that says 'this is Nyssa's work': each one is its own but at the same time it's also yours (if you get what I mean ).
If I ever get my act together and get my own domain, can I comission you to design it plz?
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
