My first CD cover design. Well, not really. I have designed a cover before, although it was to the specifics of musician Xerxes. You can see it here. I did it exactly how he wanted it done, and it was done without too much concentration. I didn't do the back cover of it though. So, I wanted to try and do something else, with all aspects.

Now. This is completely fake. It's not for any purpose except for practise and what not. Though, the tracks listed are all very real (and tracks I would recommend). The idea behind this was to "create" a CD (once again, not for real) that featured tracks with natural sounds in them. Each of these tracks starts with something natural, be it water, birds, wind... etc.

I also wanted it to look like one of those CD's you find that are reletively simple and cheap printing. The ones I'm talking about are the ones without double-sided printing, so in essence, the front is a 4-panel-insert (folds in half) without the double sided printing. I also wanted the same theme right throughout the CDs design, including the CD label. I'm sure we've all seen CD covers where they have a simple insert that folds in half. The back of the insert is the same as the back cover... blah blah. The dimensions aren't exactly right, but it's fine by me as it's never going to be printed. But it's not far off proper dimensions. I wanted to put more information on the back but I wasn't sure what I should put, so I left it fairly plain.

I could have done a bit better on the actual look of the CD (not the label). Ah well. Maybe another day. The whole thing needs a tweak really, but I've already spent about 5 hours on it all together.

Sorry about the file size.

Any suggestions will be taken into consideration for a second version of this. Except the colour will not be changing. :)

It does look professionally designed - very crisp and simple design.

I do like how you set out the back design, however I think the curved corners of the design on the back should have been carried forward onto the front cover... so instead of having the opacity going straight across from edge to edge... maybe have the edge towards the right side with curved corners... just a thought.

Other than that - I really do like it Nyssi... I would love to see more of these :D
Very impressive. The back cover seems a little too light, but it's still very good- better than a lot of professional ones, actually.

I do very much like the design. But the green is almost overpowering! Still very attractive, and nice font work.
The design is very interesting and the bright yellow-green tones make it feel appealing and fresh. Bravo!
Wicked design my dear, one or two things could be tweaked if you wanted it to seem clinical.. but to be honest, the rawness sings praises in my books! Top banana my dear, another class deviation by your fine self! :D x
