I got myself a tablet recently, been playing with it a bit and getting a bit better with it (was so horrible at first). I decided to start drawing last night and this is what came out of it.
Finished it off today and made myself a wallpaper with it. Unfortunately I didn't do it at a huge size so I can't provide larger wallpapers. Silly me, but I didn't expect to do anything with it.
Anyway, people that have been watching me for a couple of years will know that this is the first drawing I have submitted in a very, very long time. I'm a bit out of practice too.
Not a style everyone will like, but hope you guys will like it anyway.
Feel free to save it for personal use and adjust it to your own preferences for use on your home/work computers.
Simple fix for limited size on a work such as this:
Open it in Illustrator, use Live Trace on it with very high counts of strokes, curves, and such. Basically, make Illustrator copy it "as is" into a vector version in full color. Then Scale the vectors and save in any size. This doesn't give you more detail (could possibly loose some) but it does keep the lines from pixelating and blurring when trying to resize.
oh yeah, I really like this
You're quite good at drawing.
I want one so badly. I just don't want to get the small one because it seems too small (I'm a big guy) and the ones that seem comfortably sized are way too expensive. Oh well.
I stumbled upon this accidentally by searching for widescreen walls, and I have to say I love this! I have a Wacom tablet that I've had almost a year now, and I love it. I'm still not that great at hand-drawn art, but practice makes perfect! And it makes my other digital artwork much easier to do.
ANYWAY lol.
I love this and I think I'll use it. I didn't look at the title until I interpreted what it meant, and I saw it as a hope for new life. I saw the leaf as new lol. I guess my version doesn't make much sense. xD Either way, it's really good.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
