Basically, what this reflects is life. Just life. Ok, I can't really say "just life" cause life is a lot more than "just". What this says is life is more than black and white, as we all well know but some people still live a life of black and white because they're not willing to take the risks, they're not willing to make those choices that could put them in some kind of danger. The original photo was full colour, but I greyscaled it for the black and white part of life, and added colours to the eyes for what life really is. Life can be colourful is you only allow it and take the risks needed to lead an interesting life. I'm not saying that people that don't take risks are leading boring lives, but I do think life is a lot more interesting in taking the risks.
By taking those risks, we make mistakes, yes. But we learn from them and better ourselves mentally from those mistakes.
But, I'm babbling now. Just so long as people understand what this about Me and my way of expressing life

Absolutely insperational! Not only the art, but the comments you have made for it, having read it three times over, each time with a wider smile on my face .
I love the use of the different colours in the eye, representing fun, living, and as you say, taking risks. I don't quite know if it was accidential or not, but there is a reflection in the eye of what seems to be a door, as if a subtle hint that life can be fun, maybe if the right door is to be opened..
The sheer stunning level of this photo is perfectly explained in your thumbnail description. I couldn't put the words better myself. In my own feelings, this is a kind of picture I've always tried to do myself in photoshop - but not having much skill I've never correctly pulled it off. Its exactly what I've always imagined it would possibly look like if I could get it to look right.
The colours actually remind me of what oil looks in certain lights. A kind of deep soul, clouded and only viewable when looked at the correct way.

Great description. I did not see it that way.
I have a explanation too. Tell me if you agree with me.
Life is not perfect or beautiful, it's the perception you have of life that makes it wonderful.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
