Okay, I really mean kitten rather than kittens.

`zetab and I have a new baby girl kitten, that was given to us to look after as she was very ill. It was first thought she was 4-5 weeks old (too young to be taken away from her mother) but when we had a vet come out to see her when she deteriorated a bit, he said she could possibly be 8 weeks but just had a really bad start. Unfortunately for the little Kala (that's what we named her), she has cat flu, so the last week has been busy for us, trying to get milk replacement into her every two hours and giving her antibiotics twice a day.

Thankfully, she is pulling through and is quite strong now. It makes us feel quite good that we've built her strength up, and probably saved her from dying. Check out how adorable she is! (Don't let her cuteness fool you though, she is a right devil in disguise!)




Christmas is very close now. Is everyone prepared for it? Anyone know what they might be getting for Christmas? What is the one thing you'd like for Christmas (besides world peace!)? I have an Amazon wish list full of geeky stuff so I will see on Friday what I got from my list... if I got anything from it, that is

So groups have launched for beta now. I'm sure you already knew that though... and if you didn't know, how did you not know?!

I've been a member of a couple of groups since they first started popping up but it's only now that I'm really taking part in groups properly. We've finally got #cornwall converted to a group, so check it out if you're in Cornwall (or interested in attending a meet in Cornwall, or see some of the awesome photography Cornish people submit to dA).

I've also converted #journalcss into a group. It wasn't really a group before, though it was used for testing journal CSS.. but I wanted a group focussed on journal CSS, since it is what I tend to do mostly these days. However, the focus will be on higher quality journal CSS. Feel free to join as a member, or apply as contributor if you fit the role. I'm hoping for some big things to happen with #journalcss

Christmas is coming, which is why I made a holidays CSS. I'm not ready for Christmas. In fact, it doesn't even feel like Christmas is just around the corner... where did the year go?!

In my last journal, I offered everyone to ask me anonymous questions. I didn't get many (yet), but I will answer those couple that I have!

1. why do you do what you do?? do you hate anyone??
That depends on what you're referring to. And no, I don't hate anyone... I don't think

2. Between you and Zeta, who has the faster eye in seeing a potential photo opportunity?
Hmm, depends actually. If it comes to landscapes, I definitely think Zeta has the eye for seeing it or a potential composition. However, if it comes to portraits or perhaps insect photography, I think I have the faster eye. She may disagree though

3. What should I ask? D:

4. What's the weirdest thing you've found that's been left behind by guests at the Travellodge?
To be honest, no one ever leaves anything strange behind. It's the usual underwear/socks (which we throw out by the way for hygiene purposes) and other articles of clothing, or phones/mp3 players/chargers.

However, people steal the strangest things from rooms. Couple of months back, I went into a room and noticed the guests had taken the double duvet with them. The other week, a bin was taken. Really, why would you take a bin? Why?

5. If you weren't on the creative team and could have any staff/volunteer position, what would it be and why?
I'd like a GM position. Why? I've already been on the MN team, and I don't think I would want the responsibility or stress of a higher staff position ($).

6. If you could invite 5 deviants to spend the weekend with you, who would you invite?
Do I have to give reasons?

This is a difficult one. Hmm. I can't pick `zetab cause I spend every weekend with her already soooo, I think `Caektiems for sure, `isabelucha, even though she isn't really "here" now (sad). =Ice-11, $chix0r aaaaaaaand... `memod. I'm sure there would be others... yes

7. Do you do custom CSS journals with alot of content, and if so, how much would it cost?
Yes, I do custom CSS. Not sure what you mean about a lot of content though? As for the cost, I charge £10 for CSS only, £10 for design only, or £15 for both design and CSS. You can find out more here: [link]

9. If you could make me any kind of sandwich, what would it be?
Not much of a sandwich fan... but I'd go for something totally whack, and make you a mashed potato and gravy sandwich. And yes, I have had a mashed potato and gravy sandwich and they're delicious!

Easy! Id be Tiger bread!

Ummm... 6?

14. Apart from taking a GM position because you've already been on the MN Team and don't want the stress of a $, why does a GM appeal to you?
Well, I applied for a GM position but ended up on the Creative team right around the same time I applied, so I guess you could say it's always something I wanted to give a go. Why does it appeal? I guess the most appealing part for me would be to keep watch over a gallery and dealing with some miscats and I suppose, getting that little community within that category more active and in touch, by holding contests etc.

15. What's your favourite karaoke song?
I don't do karaoke!

Hmm. Tough question. I don't really have any special or best place. All places I've ever been have all had their good and special points, and their bad ones.
